Q:What is Rooting ?
A:“Rooting” your device means obtaining "superuser" rights and permissions to your Android’s software.
In fact, Rooting android is not complicated, all you have to do is to download some rooting software and click root button. but whether the
Rooting process will be successful is up to your phone itself.
Q:Why android data recovery needs "superuser" privileges ?
A:Since the data recovery process needs to scan some system level files,
and theses files can only be accessed by a superuser.
Q:Why theses data can be recovered after they have been deleted ?
A:Because when you delete some files or messages on your phone, it only remove some links and meta info,
the real data still lie on your phone's disk. With some proper method, we can reconstruct the meta info and bring these files back.
Can all deleted data can be recovered completely ?
A:Sorry, we can not guarantee that. because when you delete some files, the system will continue to write new files
onto the disk, if new data happens to override the original file's space, the deleted files will be corrupted and can't be recovered properly
so we recommend you that don't do anything before the data recovery process.
Q:Can I recover photos after factory reset ?
A:Sure, Factory reseting only remove a small part of data, most useful information are still on your disk.
Q:Where does the GT Data Recovery save the recovered data ?
A:GT Data Recovery differs from other data recovery softwares. In order to protect the system
space from being rewritten as much as we can, we only scan the
meta info for all deleted data, and after you choosing some specific files and
click "Exported", the data will be recovered to your disk for real.
Q:Why some recovered photos are corrupted ?
A:Because these photos are stored separately on the disk which are very hard to find all lost pieces, so only part of
the photos are recovered, but we are still trying to solving this situation.
Q:Why recovered photos are smaller than deleted ones ?
A:Because Android will automatically generate a thumbnail for each photo,
the smaller photos you saw in the scan list are the recovered thumbnails.
